The present study aimed to determine the levels of cytokines and antibodies and other parameters in the sera of rats infected by Giardia lamblia cyst. The study included a total of fifty male rats divided into six groups. The first groups left as zero day post infection or control. The groups from second into six were divided into 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35 post-infection groups. Serum levels of TNF-α, IL-4, IL-10 and IgE were determined. Also eosinophil and trophozoites count were determined. TNF-α, IL-4 and IL-10 levels were significantly increased in all infected groups as compared with control. On the other hand, eosinophil count recorded a high level percent change in all infected groups as compared with control. Also total IgE was highly significantly increased in all infected groups (7 ,14 , 21 , 28 and 35 day post Infection) with percent change 137.7 %, 175.6 %, 208.7%, 247.5% and 263.3% respectively as compared with control.
